We, the undersigned, would like to show our strong support for the Alamosa School Board and their decision to sell the Polston Property to Alamosa RV Resort On The Rio Grande, represented by Dan Russell. We believe that the Alamosa School Board acted financially in the best interest of the School District and our community. We believe the lawsuit that has been filed against the School Board and Dan Russell is frivolous, divisive and counterproductive to our community.
We would like to encourage the Alamosa City Council do whatever is needed to bring this project to fruition. We encourage the City to act on any reasonable land swap that Mr. Russell proposes, understanding that he has come up with a plan that is not only beneficial for his project but also beneficial for the City and itís citizens. We are informed about his proposed land swap, the planned parking lot, the crossing of the levee for golf carts, and possible annexation and we believe these changes are in the best interest of our community.
As individuals and businesses of not just the city but also the county we are excited about the potential for future economic growth for not just Alamosa but the entire San Luis Valley. The Russellís have purchased this property in good faith, with private money, and we applaud them and their efforts.
