I have been reading with interest all the letters stating the concerns about the RV Park in Alamosa. Now the battle cry is “air pollution” from all of the trucks!! Have any of the KPP people stuck their noses in the air to the north and smelled the stink of the mushroom plant when it is in operation?
… About the mushroom plant. When proposers of the mushroom plant first came to the Valley, they had the same philosophy as KPP. You hillbillies that live here just don’t know what is good for you. Now look at what we’ve got. Another fantasy gone bad … I even wonder what kind of water pollution we are left to deal with.
I HAVE AN IDEA! Leave Mr. Russell alone and all of you KPP supporters can don your sunbonnets, apply a generous amount of sun block and gather at the mushroom plant, buy it; clean it up; and grow your crops there. Then when Mr. Russell finishes his RV Park, all the summer visitors can walk or bike down the bike path and swim at Splashland, which was redeveloped by local people (great job.) They then can proceed on to the former mushroom plant and buy a carrot if they want.
I don’t have any kind of fancy title to place after my name, so I’ll just sign off “Ed.”
