Charles “Toby” Baca, 69, of Natrona Heights, lost his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at home with his loved ones at his side. He was born October 9, 1943 in Leadville, Colorado the son of the late Tobias and Ernestine Naranjo Baca.
Charles was a veteran of the US Navy serving from October 1960 to October 1964. He retired from the US Department of Labor as a MSHA Inspector after 31 years of service. Charles was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights, the VFW Post 894 in Natrona Heights and the American Legion Post 48 in Natrona. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and especially spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis Medina Baca, his children, Charles Baca of Austin, Tx., James Baca of Cranberry Twp., Pa. and Charlene (Mike) Malecki of Buffalo Twp., Pa., his grandchildren, Jessica Baca and Michael, Aaron and David Malecki, his sisters, Maria “Henrietta” (Gilbert) Martinez of Denver, Co., Lucy (Don) Madrid of Colorado Springs, Co., Priscilla Lucero of Colorado Springs, Co., Virginia Valle of Del Norte, Co., and Valerie (Leroy) Atencio of Del Norte, Co., several nieces and nephews and by his wonderful neighbors and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jake and Leroy Baca.
