Alamosa Round-Up Final results announced

ALAMOSA—The PRCA has confirmed and released the results of the Alamosa Round Up Rodeo that took place at the Alamosa Fairgrounds in Alamosa last month and they are listed below. In addition to the PRCA results, the local events like the Mutton Bustin, which was sponsored by Century 21 and Goal Academy, and the local barrel racers, which were sponsored by The Emerald Ranch and Egolf Family, have been released.

The PRCA Rodeos drew crowds to the Alamosa Fairgrounds twice during the Round-Up week and the local mutton busters and barrel racers had to qualify to participate in the PRCA shows on Wednesday night.

As the dust settled, the 4-year-old winner was Kyle Lake who scored 90 points while Karsin McGraw took second place with 75 points.

In the 5 -year –old division Loren Stetsen-Romero was awarded 85 points and took the win as Braiden Cantu took second with 82 points. Caden Blue Allen took third with 79 points.

Perry D. Camillo took first in the 6-year-old division as the best ride of the night earned 98 points. Deegan Thompson took second with 92 points, Jace Morgan was third with 89 points and Karmin McGraw took fourth with 87 points.

Braxton Geitz took the 7-year-old division with 94 points. Riley Honeycutt took second just a point behind the winner with 93 points. Kaitlyn Medina took third with 90 points and Izaiah David rounded out the sheep riders with 88 points.

In the local barrel races, Alamosa’s Kassie Howard posted a time of 19.06 on Thursday night and it was able to hold up for the win. Tammi Francis took second with a time of 19.13 while Shirley Claunch finished in third with a time of 19.46 and Katelyn Adams rounded out the top four with a time of 19.47



The PRCA results are:

All-around cowboy: Jesse Jolly, $515, saddle bronc riding and team roping.

Bareback riding: 1. Tyler Scales, 81 points on Bar T Rodeo’s Falina, $768; 2. Justin Pollmiller, 73, $576; 3. Tony Buckman, 72, $384; 4. Shon Gibson, 71, $192.

Steer wrestling: 1. Pepe Arballo, 4.5 seconds, $978; 2. Christian Pettigrew, 5.2, $809; 3. Shawn Mills, 5.3, $641; 4. Hayden Moore, 5.8, $472; 5. Joe Buffington, 6.0, $304; 6. Cody Pratt, 6.1, $169.

Team roping: 1. Colby Siddoway/Shay Carroll, 4.8 seconds, $1,894 each; 2. Ken McKibbin/Lance Allen, 5.0, $1,567; 3. Travis Bounds/Wade Kreutzer, 5.8, $1,241; 4. Nick Pullara/J.W. Borrego, 6.2, $914; 5. Wyatt Althoff/T.J. Brown, 6.4, $588; 6. Brian Dunning/Jesse Jolly, 6.5, $327.
