Alamosa High School senior and 2011 Class 3A State Pole Vaulting Champion Samuel Bilderbeck has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his education and track and field career at Adams State University, one of the most prestigious track and field schools in the nation. He looks to become a decathlete.
Bilderbeck has a very storied track and field career in addition to a celebrated basketball career.
His high school accolades include: All -Conference Honorable Mention in basketball to follow up his two buzzer beaters in 2013, 2012 Intermountain League Track Athlete of the year All-State in 110 hurdles (8th), All-State in the high jump (9th), All-State in the pole vault (State Champion), and he is ranked 15th in the country in the decathlon.
So far in 2013, he is ranked second in both the 110 and pole vault, 8th in the high jump, 6th in the long jump and has been a member of the 4x2 and 4x4 relay teams that are both ranked.
