ALAMOSA — An Alamosa man stands accused of second-degree murder following a Monday night shooting at a mobile home park that led to the death of another man.
The Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office alleges that 50-year-old Gregory S. Carpenter shot and killed Jose Luis Fernandez, 36, during an altercation at the Wagon Wheel Trailer Park.
Alamosa County Sheriff Dave Stong said Tuesday that the incident allegedly occurred at about 10:05 p.m. on April 8. Authorities quickly took Carpenter into custody and charged him with second-degree murder.
Stong’s office is continuing its investigation into the incident. No further information is available at this time.
