San Pablo resident Marcella O. Archuleta, 78, passed away March 30, 2013 at her home under Hospice Care surrounded by her loving family. Marcella was born on December 24, 1934 in San Pablo, Colorado the daughter of Cleofes Ortiz and Rebecca Roybal Ortiz. Marcella was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed being in the mountains for the day, going to bingo, gardening, doing yard work, going gambling, listening to Spanish music, doing puzzles and crossword puzzles and having her children and grandchildren with her.
Survivors include her daughters Geri Archuleta (Arturo) Vasquez of Tucson, AZ; Diana (David) Vigil of Thornton, CO; Rachelle Archuleta (Matthew Sandoval) of San Pablo, CO; sons Kennard Archuleta of San Pablo, CO; Robert Archuleta of Empire, CO; Richard (Liz) Archuleta of San Pablo, CO; grandchildren Anna Jacquez, Andrea Vasquez, Carlos Vigil, Danielle Vigil, Jeremy Sandoval, Kennard Archuleta Jr., Tony Sano, Mark Sano, Robert Archuleta Jr., Vanessa Archuleta, Jeniffer Rivera, Kristopher Romero, Mychael Velasquez, Richard Archuleta Jr., great-grandchildren Louie Vigil, Alex Vigil, Kristina Vigil, Alexis Sano, Aaron Sano, Noah Archuleta, Mariah Rivera and Miguel Rivera. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents Cleofes and Rebecca Ortiz and her husband Richard Archuleta.
A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM also at the Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the San Pablo Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-5 at the Romero Funeral Chapel in San Luis who is in care of the arrangements.
