Lisa Schofield, 49

Lisa Schofield passed away on March 7, 2013 after a very courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 16, 1963 in Alamosa, Colorado to Wade and Glenna Schofield. She grew up in Alamosa. She graduated from Alamosa High School and received her bachelors and masters degrees from Adams State College. In her early 20s, Lisa served an LDS mission to Brazil. She then went on to teach elementary school in numerous schools in the San Luis Valley, Albuquerque, and Las Vegas. She taught with love and touched the lives of many children. Lisa was admired by hundreds of school children, colleagues, and parents.

She is survived by her siblings: Mary & Harold (Frey) of Provo, UT, Danny & Carol of Pagosa Springs, CO, Jon & Susan of South Jordan, UT, Jeff & Rebekah of Farmingon, NM, Pete & Judy of Bozeman, MT, and Tara of Draper, UT. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Glenna Schofield and older sisters, Becky (Hart) and Ruth Ann, as well as many grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

There will be a viewing in her honor at Rogers Mortuary (205 State Street) in Alamosa, Colorado on Friday, March 15 from 6 8 pm and Saturday, March 16 from 9:00 9:45 am at the church prior to the service. Funeral services will be held in the LDS Chapel located at 3rd and Richardson in Alamosa, Colorado on Saturday, March 16 at 10:00 am. Her remains will be interred in the Sanford Cemetery.
