ALAMOSA — Alamosa County Public Health Department announces that the Alamosa 9Health Fair will be held on Friday, April 12th from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 8900 Independence Way, in Alamosa. Participants must at least 18 years of age.
The mission of 9Health Fair is to promote health awareness and encourage individuals to assume responsibility for their own health.
Free screenings available at Alamosa 9Health Fair this year include blood pressure, hearing, lung function, vision, skin and others. Tdap (tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis) booster will also be available at no charge.
Low-cost screenings offered are: Blood Chemistry ($30), PSA for men ($25), Blood Cell Count ($15), Colon Cancer Take-Home Screening Kit ($20), Vitamin D ($40), and Hemoglobin A1C ($25). For participants wanting to pay by credit card, online registration is required at www.9healthfair.org. Check or cash only is accepted the day of the fair.
