SLV science fair begins Thursday

ALAMOSA — Come one, come all to the 64th San Luis Valley Regional Science Fair on March 7 and 8 at Adams State University’s Plachy Hall.

Valley fourth through twelfth grade students will compete alongside participants from Salida Public Schools, and private and home school institutions for a spot in the state competition.

Student registration begins Thursday, March 7, at 9 a.m. The judging will begin at 1 p.m. with a display boards and research papers. The personal interviews between the judges and the students start at 9 a.m., Friday, March 8.

The public is invited to visit on Thursday afternoon and evening. The fair is closed to the public during judging on Friday. The Award Ceremony will begin Friday evening at 7 p.m.
