Curtis Dale Cornum, 51 passed away at his home in La Jara, CO, on February 11, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Denver, Colorado to Dale and DeAnn Cornum on August 12, 1961. Curtis loved all competitive sports but especially he loved watching his nieces and nephews play ball. He kept track of sports statistics from long ago to present and could tell you about any player in high school, college, or professional sports. Another hobby was listening to classic rock. He never knew a stranger and was always making friends wherever he went. When he married his wife Charlotte, on October 6, 2000, he obtained three sons and a daughter who he loved dearly. Curtis loved spending time with his family and especially his grandson Oniian, who was the light of his life.
Curtis is preceded in death by his grandparents, Verden and Doris Mortensen, Parley and Lucille Cornum and his uncle Bruce Cornum.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte, La Jara, his four children, Christian Spoone, Pueblo, Mathew Dailey, Colorado Springs, James Dailey, Ft Hood, TX, Jessica Dailey, Pueblo and his grandson Oniian, Pueblo. His parents, Dale and DeAnn Cornum, his brother Kirby (Karen) Cornum, his sister Pamela (Justin) Rhoads, his nephews, Justin and Ryan Cordova, Jared and Jeremy Cornum, Kahle Gracia and nieces, Kymberlie Cordova, Krista and Ashley Cornum, all of La Jara, CO.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will held Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the La Jara, LDS 1st Ward Chapel, at 11:00AM.
