Lillie Malinda “Grandma” Weaver, 99

DEL NORTE — Lillie Malinda “Grandma” Weaver, 99, passed away on February 1, 2013 in Del Norte, Colorado. She was born in Brighton, Colorado on November 10, 1913. Lillie made her career as a nurse in the Denver area. After the death of her husband, she relocated to the San Luis Valley in 1978, to be with her family.

Lillie loved camping in the mountains latch-hooking, crocheting and playing pinochle and cribbage. She enjoyed spending time with her family most of all.

Lillie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Warren and Lilly Hoover, her husband of 37 years Kenneth Weaver, and 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Wanda Metz (Raymond Pacheco) of Del Norte, her sons Warren (Gail) Weaver of Monte Vista, Wendell Weaver of Del Norte. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Don (Missy) Oney of Del Norte, Donna Oney (Travis DePriest) of Monte Vista,

Kenny Weaver of Monte Vista, Cate Weaver of Baltimore, MD, Tom Weaver of Pueblo West, Pat (Lonnie) Doyle of Del Norte, Mindi Hambrick of Riverton, WY and Dawayne (Veronica) Weaver of Black Hawk. Lillie is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen. The location of the Service has been changed to the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church located at 645 Pine Street, Del Norte, CO on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.
