PAONIA—The Center Vikings led three San Luis Valley teams at the 2013 Screaming Eagle Tournament that was hosted by Paonia this past weekend.
The Vikings finished in third place by scoring 146 points. The host Eagles won the tournament with 270 points while Dove Creek finished in second place with 168 1/2 points.

The Trojans finished in 13th place with 39 team points while the Farmers took 16th place with 14 points.
The Vikings had eight placers in the tournament including one first place finisher.
The Vikings, who had been struggling with injuries all season got back some of their key wrestlers for the tournament.
"I was really impressed with our 132 pounder, Gustavo Nungaray," said Viking Head Coach Brian Ullary. "He had a good day and ended up in second place."
Nungary was the second placer for the Vikings as he scored 24 points.
DeAngelo Martinez was Center's first placer with a fifth place finish and contributed 21 team points.
The Viking's 138-pounder, Jeremiah Moreno finished in third place and scored 20 total team points.
Christian Espinoza finished in fifth at 145 pounds while George Weatherford finished in sixth place at 152 pounds.
The Viking's lone champion came at 195 pounds as he contributed 22 team points and nabbed two pins en route to the title.
Luis Mariscal, who is one of the returners to the team, took second place with a pin in the opening round and a 10-7 decision in the semifinals.
The Vikings will have a lot of action this weekend as they host the Valley Classic on Saturday when Antonito, Centennial, Center, Cripple Creek, Crowley County, Custer County, Fowler, Hayden, La Veta, Mountain Valley, Norwood, Nucla, Paonia, Rye, Sangre de Cristo, Sargent, Swink, Soroco, John Mall and West Grand will converge.
They will, however, host a triangular on Friday night with Paonia and Rocky Ford.
