El Pomar assists homeless shelter

El Pomar Foundation, based in Colorado Springs, awarded a $5,000 board of trustees grant to La Puente Home Inc. in Alamosa on Thursday. Presenting the check to executive director Lance Cheslock, far right, are members of El Pomar’s San Luis Valley Council, from left, Tom Gilmore, Kathy Rogers, David Svaldi and Keith Cerny. The grant was designated for La Puente’s general fund. Cheslock thanked the group profusely and said, “We will put it to good use.”
