ALAMOSA – The Alamosa Optimist Club will hold their annual Tri-Star Basketball Skills Competition for youth on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Alamosa
Family Recreation Center located at 2222 Old Sanford Road in Alamosa.
Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the competition to follow at 10:30 – 12:00 p.m. The competition is open to all boys and girls ages 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and
13 based on age as of March 15th. ALL youth are invited and encouraged to participate. The contest will demonstrate passing, shooting and dribbling skills.
Local winners will be eligible to participate in the regional competition held in Pueblo on Saturday, March 9th, 2013. Regional winners advance to the final competition held at the Pepsi Center during a Denver Nuggets home game on Sunday, March 23, 2013. Participants are responsible for their own transportation.
