Martha Ruybalid entered peacefully into rest at her home in Concord, CA surrounded by family on January 3, 2013. She was 91 years old.
Born in Colorado on December 11, 1921, Martha had taught at Woodside Elementary School for 23 years. A mentor to many people, she belonged to the California Retired Teachers Association and local exercise groups where she fostered many friendships. In earlier years when her beloved husband John was alive, they would enjoy dancing at the Elks Lodge. She will truly be missed by many.
Martha is survived by her beloved children and spouses, Ernie Ruybalid (June), Diana (Randy) Gallegos, Nick Ruybalid, Phil (Dianna) Ruybalid, Roland Ruybalid and Teresa (Mike) Schmit. She will always be remembered by her 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Wilson & Kratzer Chapel of San Ramon Valley, 825 Hartz Way, Danville, CA. She will be laid to rest at Mogote Presbyterian Cemetery in the summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Mogote Church Restoration Committee, 33688 Highway 17, Antonito, Colorado 81120 or Hospice of the East Bay.
