Twelfth Judicial Chief District Judge Pattie Swift administered the oath of office on Tuesday to Alamosa County Commissioners Darius Allen and Marianne Dunne. Allen, who was later selected as the board’s new chairman, welcomed Dunne to the commission. “It’s nice to have you with us, and we will do everything we can to make it enjoyable for you,” he said. “We have a full year ahead of us with lots of projects and lots of work, and I think we’re all committed to doing our best for Alamosa County.”
Dunne said she’s delighted to serve on the board, and humbled by the voters who elected her. “I’m here to serve everybody here in the county,” she added. “I think that we can work well together and do a wonderful job for our county.”
