MV Parade of Lights winners announced

MONTE VISTA — Winners for this year’s Parade of Lights are:

1st Place — Monte Vista Kids Connection with their float “All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth”

2nd Place — Monte Vista Ambulance with their entry “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”

2nd Place Family Entry — Daniel and Zach Hatton with their lighted bikes and the Alvin & the Chipmunks Christmas

3rd Place Walking Entry went to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church — “Angels We Have Heard on High”

The public is invited to come out and congratulate this year’s award winners and parade sponsors (MV Co-op, Rio Grande Savings and Loan, Sunflower Bank and Wildthyme Art) at a reception on Monday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Monte Villa in Monte Vista.
