ALAMOSA — The 22nd annual Free Community Christmas Dinner will greatly appreciate donations of foods, funds, and volunteer help on Christmas Day.
This all-Valley non-denominational celebration is open to all, with a full turkey dinner served between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the American Legion Hall located at 514 4th Street in Alamosa.
To donate food items in any quantity, call Margy Robertson, 852-3735, or Diana Hamilton, 274-5998.
Much is needed, including: 7 cases green beans, #10 (large) cans preferred; 3 cases canned cranberry, 8 cases sweet potatoes, #10 or medium-large cans if possible; 6 cases chicken broth; 14 gallons milk; 14 pounds butter; 15 pounds margarine; 1 1/2 cases canned whipped cream; 1 large can coffee; as always, cookies, cakes and pies are very welcome.
Because of scheduling, please call in offers of food by December 15th.

There are many types of jobs on Christmas Day, so many volunteers are also needed. To offer an hour or two of time to help, call Margy at 852-3735, or Rick at 588-4717. Please be sure to call before December 23, for scheduling time and duties.
