ALAMOSA — Hospice del Valle, the GFWC Woman’s Citizenship Club and the local banks are working together to provide the annual Tree of Memories. They invite the public to remember someone special this holiday season with a Tree of Memories personalized ornament. The Tree of Memories ornament is designed to provide participants with an opportunity to express their remembrances and caring for loved ones and friends who have died.
Go to any of the following banks to fill out forms: Alamosa State Bank, Community Banks of Colorado, First Southwest Banks, San Luis Valley Federal Banks, Sunflower Banks, and the Rio Grande Savings & Loan; and for a $5 donation per ornament, members of the Woman’s Citizenship Club will place a personalized ornament on the Tree of Memories located in that bank.
There will also be a tree at the Hospice del Valle office, 514 Main Street, Alamosa where ornaments can be purchased. The trees with the ornaments will be displayed throughout the Christmas season. After Christmas, the ornament will be gathered up by the Woman’s Citizenship Club and they will send them to those designated on the form, along with the acknowledgement of remembrance.
