DEL NORTE — With assistance from the Monte Vista and Del Norte Police Departments and a Crime Stoppers tip, the Alamosa Police Department captured burglary/robbery suspects Christina Jiron, 24, and Linndon Gallegos, 21, both of Monte Vista, on Wednesday at 315 Oak Street in Del Norte.
Jiron and Gallegos are wanted for an alleged Halloween burglary and armed robbery at 1028 Eighth Street in Alamosa involving electronics and prescription pills.
They were considered armed while evading the police.
The suspects were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Alamosa County Detention Center where they will be held on felony no bond warrants for burglary and robbery.
“The Alamosa Police Department wishes to thank our colleagues in Del Norte and Monte Vista and the community for providing the information necessary that led to the arrests of both individuals,” said Alamosa Police Chief Craig Dodd in a press release. “This is a great example of community-police partnership and great use of the local Crime Stoppers program.”
