HOOPER — The town of Hooper’s sole ballot issue regarding medical marijuana centers, was defeated in a three-to-one vote Tuesday.
Of the 72 registered voters in Hooper, the town received 41 valid ballots back, with 31 voting against the measure to permit medical marijuana centers and 10 voting for it.
The ballot question had asked: “Shall the Town of Hooper, Colorado permit the operation and licensing of medical marijuana centers (also known as medical marijuana dispensaries), optional premises cultivation operations, and medical marijuana-infused products?”
