Many seniors have time on their hands and do not know what to do. Loneliness and having nothing specific to do are main factors of boredom and depression. Some tips I can give you are to play word games or number games. Even newspapers have crossword puzzles or sudoko. Go for a walk, listen to some music or write a letter, or read. If you can come into the Alamosa Senior Center and make friends and do activities if you have transportation or are physically able. You can plan a party that every one will enjoy. Adults like goofy parties as much as kids. They will liven up a dead gathering and will also be an ice breaker. You can have parties even if you are homebound. Have an adult block party and enjoy all your neighbors.
Last Sunday daylight savings time ended. It sure takes a while to adjust.
Next Sunday we celebrate Veterans Day. Take time to remember them.
Tomorrow we go to Cities Of Gold, the county nurse comes and the pool tournament is in Antonito. Friday the 9th is crazy bingo. Quote of the week: Boredom is the deadliest poison.
