ALAMOSA — Alamosa resident Delsie Mary Casias, 56, passed away September 30, 2012 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center.
Delsie was born on March 13, 1956 in Garcia, Colorado the daughter of Nerio Vigil and Arcycine Griego Vigil.
Delsie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed listening to music, crocheting, cross stitch, puzzles, swimming, she was active in sports and above all the time she spent with family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband Leroy Casias of Alamosa, Colo.; father Nerio (Edith) Vigil of Questa, NM; daughter Tammy Casias of Alamosa, Colo.; sons Ray Casias of Cane Ridge, Tenn.; Ricky Casias of Alamosa, Colo.; Lucas (Lisa) Casias of San Acacio, Colo.; 11 grandchildren, sisters Frances (Bob) Lovato of Leadville, Colo.; Shirley (Floyd) Martinez of Monte Vista, Colo.; Donna (Rick) Bailon of Questa, NM; Beatrice Vigil of Alamosa, Colo.; sister-in-law Carmelita Valencia of Taos, NM; brothers Jose (Crystal) Vigil of Cañon City, Colo.; Michael (Sandra) Vigil of Denver, Colo.; Juan Vigil of Questa, NM. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Delsie was preceded in death by her mother Arcy Vigil in 1995.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. Viewing and visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa who is in care of the arrangements.
