SANTA FE, N.M. — Former Center resident Dolores M. Trujillo, 82, passed away September 30, 2012 at her home under hospice care surrounded by her loving family.
Dolores was born on April 6, 1930 in Crook, Colorado the daughter of Alejandro Martinez and Cristina Garcia Martinez.
She was a member of the Holy Family Society, Socidad Protection Faternidad. Dolores was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, praying, reading her Bible and taking care of her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters Isabell Trujillo and Joann (Juan) Rael both of Santa Fe, NM; Barbara (Robert) Jaramillo and Andrea Garcia both of Albuquerque, NM; Josie (Mark) Barela of Alamosa, Colo.; Christine Trujillo, Maryann Trujillo, Marie Trujillo and Viki Trujillo all of Denver, Colo.; Patricia (David) Dorsey of Salt Lake City, Utah; Sons Vences (Angela) Trujillo Jr., and Abelino Trujillo both of Albuquerque, NM; Anthony (Gina) Trujillo and David (Paula) Trujillo both of Denver, Colo.; 37 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vences A. Trujillo Sr., one daughter Evangeline Chacon, five sisters Anne, Margaret, Viola, Lupe and Teresa, four brothers Frank, Felix, Antonio and Ignacio Trujillo.
A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10 a.m. also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Homelake Veterans Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-5 p.m. at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa who is in care of the arrangements.
