Easter egg hunts set in the San Luis Valley

Easter egg hunts are scheduled throughout the Valley this weekend.


VALLEY — Easter egg hunts are scheduled in various locations throughout the San Luis Valley this weekend:



ALAMOSA

The Knights of Columbus will host an Easter egg hunt for ages 3-12 at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, in Sunset Park, across from the Knights of Columbus Hall in Alamosa.

The American Legion will host the annual Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 4, at 1 p.m. in Boyd Park, Alamosa. Three different areas will be roped off for division of age groups: 0-4 years old; 5-7 years old; and 8-10 years old, and each will have their own area. Prizes will be awarded to those who find the prize eggs scattered in each area.

Trinity Lutheran Church will host an Easter egg hunt at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 4.

The First United Methodist Church hosts an Easter egg hunt following the 9:30 a.m. service. The church is located at the corner of Murphy Drive and Mullins Avenue just west of Adams State College in Alamosa.



DEL NORTE

Casa Illuminaria will have a community Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3, on the lawn across from Jack’s Market. The residents have filled eggs with candy, and cash and prizes will be given away. For more information call Johnny at 657-3311.



MONTE VISTA

The Monte Vista Elks #2456 will have its annual Easter Egg hunt for the children at the softball fields behind the Ski-Hi Stampede Building on April 4 at 1:30 if weather permits. If the weather becomes bad the event will move inside the arena adjacent to the softball fields.



SOUTH FORK

The annual Easter egg hunt in South Fork is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at the Visitors Center. Dress children warmly. In case of inclement weather, the event will move to the community building. This event is for children aged 10 and under. For more information call 873-5512.
