Dolores D. Alire, 79
SAN LUIS — San Luis, Colo. resident Dolores D. Alire, 79, passed away Nov. 8, 2009 at the University Park Care Center in Pueblo. Dolores was born Jan. 12, 1930 in San Luis the daughter of Juan Benito Sandoval and Savina Olivas Sandoval.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Alire, one daughter Georgiann Lee Martinez, two brothers Jose Uverto, Juan A. Sandoval and one sister Tela Sandoval.
Survivors include two sisters Maria Arabella Manzanares of Las Cruces, N.M. and Sostena Clevan of San Luis; three brothers Benito (Orlanda) Sandoval of Pueblo, Ralph (Diane) Sandoval of Trinidad and Guillermo (Loyda) Sandoval of Pueblo; sister-in-law Josie Sandoval of Greeley as well as by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dolores was a member of the Carmelitas and Sagrado Corazon. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidering, making quilts, cooking, gardening and especially the time she spent with her loving family.
A vigil service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Sun., Nov. 15, 2009 at 7 p.m. at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church in San Luis. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Mon., Nov. 16, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church. Interment will follow Sangre de Cristo Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m. at Romero Funeral Chapel in San Luis who is in care of the arrangements.
