MONTE VISTA — To celebrate the opening of the beautiful new facility, the Monte Vista Clinic will hold an Open House and Mini Health Fair for the public at 1033 2nd Avenue, Saturday, February 20, from 7-11 a.m.
MONTE VISTA — San Luis Valley Health will sponsor a health fair from 7-11 a.m. February 26-27 at the Monte Vista High School, 295 East Prospect Ave., Monte Vista, and will feature many free on-site screenings for participants 18 and older as well as blood, PSA and colon cancer screening tests at minimal costs:

SAN LUIS — 9Health Fair will be held from 7-11 a.m. on April 8 at Centennial School, Hwy 159, San Luis, in conjunction with the Costilla County Public Health Agency.
Basic screenings include: Ask a medical question and get a referral; blood chemistry screening; blood pressure screening; cardiac risk assessment; diabetes risk assessment/education; first aid; height, weight, body mass index screening; immunization; adult Tdap; pulse oximetry screening; stress management screening; vision and eye health screening.

CENTER — Center Head Start, in conjunction with Rio Grande Hospital, will be sponsoring the 18th annual Center Head Start Health Fair.
The Health Fair will be held on Friday, April 8, from 6:30-10 a.m. This year, the Health Fair will be held at a different location. It will be held at the Community Building located at 980 South Broadway (Tierra Nueva Complex) in Center.
The Health Fair will offer the following lab tests:
Chemistry Panel Including TSH $30
Vitamin D $40
Fasting after midnight is required if you wish to have your blood drawn for the above tests.
The Health Fair will also offer other screenings, free of charge, including:
Finger Stick blood sugar screening
Body Composition screening
Pulmonary Lung Function screening
Pulse oximetry screening
Blood pressure screening
Snacks will be provided for all participants.

ALAMOSA —Since 1980, Alamosa County Public Health Department has been hosting a 9Health Fair each spring. This year’s fair will be from 7-11 the morning of April 15 at the Alamosa County Public Health Department, 8900 Independence Way, Alamosa. This year’s fair will be similar to last year’s back to basics format.
Basic screenings will include: Ask a medical question and get a referral; blood chemistry screening; blood count screening; blood pressure screening; colon cancer screening kit; first aid; height, weight, body mass index screening; hemoglobin A1c screening; Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) for men; Vitamin D 25-Hydroxy screening.
