Where the trail ends

Modified: Wednesday, Apr 2nd, 2014

Four-year-old Harlowe Sanders meets Tommy at the end of the Ride to Rescue Buck Creek in Alamosa on Saturday. Tommy is one of the horses ridden to promote awareness of the need for horse rescue and will be at a barbecue sponsored by SLV Horses and CP Horse Training in Mosca on April 5 to celebrate the end of the ride.

Richard Mills, Corey Pearson, and Gary Walker ride through Alamosa as part of the Ride to Rescue Buck Creek. Mills, the co-founder of Buck Creek Horse Rescue, began the ride in Louisiana in order to raise funds for the non-profit horse rescue program. Local cowboys Walker and Pearson were among those who participated in the cross-country ride to promote the horse rescue ranch.
