ALAMOSA — For 10 years the folks at Century Property Management have taken on a special home improvement project every autumn and completed it in time for the holidays.
This year the business and its vendors decided to take on two broader projects that will assist a greater segment of San Luis Valley residents in need in addition to residents hard hit by fires and floods in other parts of the state.
“How blessed we are in the Valley,” said Holly Coleman, who has served as project leader for the annual home makeovers, “so this year we have decided not to do the home makeover and to donate to the Red Cross and the food bank.”
Darlene McCarroll added, “With all the disasters around us, the floods and the fires and people without homes, how blessed we are. At least everybody here has a home to go to.”
