FORT GARLAND — Fort Garland’s Ben Humphrey, 79, was recently chosen as Colorado’s Senior Poet Laureate in a national contest sponsored by the Angels Without Wings Foundation of Monterey, California.
This is an annual competition currently in its 21st year. Contestants must be 50 or older. The submitted poems may be of style, form, and subject, but poems may not exceed 40 lines.
