Great Sand Dunes Artist in Residence applications requested for 2013

VALLEY — Three short residencies for artists, composers or writers will be offered in 2013 at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, announced Superintendent Lisa Carrico. The 2013 residency dates are: May 22 - June 5 (visual artist), September 25 - October 9 (visual artist), and a 2-3 week residency with flexible dates in late fall (composer or writer).

“In recent years, Great Sand Dunes has hosted painters, photographers and sculptors with diverse expressions of this landscape,” said Superintendent Carrico. “We look forward to seeing how two new visual artists and a composer or writer will bring their unique perspectives to park visitors in 2013.”
