Letter to the Editor: Your thoughts don't count

Posted: Thursday, May 23rd, 2013

In response to the ďThanks for nothingĒ article May 16, 2013, Terrance hereís the deal. Yes it does smell fishy. But you need to realize that your thoughts donít count. Decisions will be made for you because you are incapable of thinking for yourself. Thatís how you are seen. Not by me but by the governing entities. Itís the same thing as the Solar Towers that have been pushed through. I understand your logic and I feel the same way but it doesnít matter.

This 900 space RV parking lot is to accommodate all of the contractors and workers for this Solar project. As you can see, the trickle down is starting. Next, the question will be, how do we deal with all this sewage generated by the workers coming to your town. Then, the jail isnít big enough to handle all the problems generated from out of towners coming in to work on this Solar project.

On and on it will go. Mr. Russell and the people behind the scenes have something up their sleeves. You can bet on that. Their vision is to be at the forefront of any money to be made for a short period of time regardless of the future consequences. Watch!

Regardless of ANY input the citizens of Alamosa or San Luis Valley for that matter, itís all for naught. Your right-Itís done!

Itís all inside trading and youíre not a part of it. I would recommend that you purchase a Hotdog Cart franchise to fast feed the workers coming to the valley. There arenít enough restaurants in Alamosa to feed all these people coming in. This in turn will make a lot of workers angry when they ALL show-up at the dinner hour. Watch the trickle down. Itís coming.

Gonna need more traffic lights in town. The lines generated from the existing lights allowing 4 cars or 2 RV through before turning red again will surely back up. Thatís going to create some more angry people. Get ready! Here it comes!

This is what has not been thought through. Iíve seen it before. Oh well, I guess thereís the option of leaving the Valley until itís all over. Then, when the parking lot is empty, Russell may turn it into a Solar Tower Viewing area like the UFO viewing tower. ďCome See the Glowing Heads of the Solar TowersĒ ďThat will be 3 bucks pleaseĒ.

There you have it. Progress at itís finest.

God Save us All.

Thank you,

A concerned citizen who canít think for himself. Or should I say, whose thoughts donít count.

Tom Buckley
