Monte Vista – Monte Vista resident Cynthia Kay Chacon, 43, passed away on March 29, 2014. She was born on August 11, 1970 to Ray Chacon and Darlene Roybal Sims. Cindy loved camping, watching movies, listening to music, riding motorcycles and was an avid Broncos fan.
She is survived by her children; Anthony Gaitan, Elena Gaitan and Nicholas Torrez all of Monte Vista, her parents, Ray Chacon of Canon City and Darlene (Max) Sims of Monte Vista as well as her brother Brian Chacon and sister Melissa Chacon of Monte Vista and her companion Victor White as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews
Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents; Floyd and Lucy Chacon and Fermin and Rose Roybal.
Cremation was selected and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday April 3, 2014 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. Inurnment will follow services in the Monte Vista Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Hospice Del Valle and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
