Florence Elizabeth (Liz) Johnson, 87, went to be with the Lord April 2, 2013 under hospice care at The Pavilion at Villa Pueblo in Pueblo, CO. She was born in Camp Killner Township, Oklahoma on November 8, 1925 to Walter and Vera Berry.
Liz is survived by her children Jeff (Kelly) Johnson of Monte Vista, CO., Lynn (Becky) Johnson of Pagosa Spring, CO., Tim (Heidi) Johnson of Chandler, AZ., and Maggie (Ken) Crowell of Pueblo, CO; brother Ray (Kay) Berry of Monte Vista, CO; grandchildren, Shea Johnson of Pagosa Springs, CO. Brooke and Sierra Crowell of Pueblo, CO; and step granddaughter Kalie Ray of Pagosa Springs, CO; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wallace Johnson, sisters, Margaret Hart and Opal McCarty and brother John Berry.
After moving to the Valley as a child, she lived in Monte Vista, Saguache , and Del Norte, before moving to Pueblo, CO. in 2001. Liz enjoyed needle point, bridge, sightseeing, loved reading and studying the bible, spending time with her kids and grandkids. Her many vocations included florist, clerk in an abstract office, and homemaker. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 6, 2013 at Strohmayer`s Funeral Home 205 South Broadway in Monte Vista, CO.
Followed by a remembrance reception at the First Christian Church, 200 Washington Street in Monte Vista, CO. Interment will be conducted at 1:30 on April 6, 2013 in Saguache Hillside Cemetery, Saguache, CO.
