GRAND JUNCTION — Ron Fisher, 51, was born in Alamosa, Co December 17, 1961 and died in Grand Junction on February 21, 2013 after a long battle with cancer.
He graduated from Alamosa High School in 1981 where he played football and was an outstanding Wrestler. After graduating, he moved to Phoenix, AZ and worked for a large concrete company. He returned to Grand Junction where he worked for Grand Junction Pipe & Supply for many years until taking a disability retirement.
Ron loved the mountains and spent most of his spare time camping, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed working around his home where took pride in the many projects he completed. He could fix anything and, as a result, was called on by his friends to help with projects.
Ron is survived by his parents Keith and Claudette Fisher of Alamosa, his wife Beth, Grand Junction, his children Jeremy and Alex, and stepchildren Lauren, Kevin & Ethan Hill, one granddaughter Charlee Ay all of Grand Junction. He is also survived by his brother Brian (Tami) of Phoenix, AZ, two sisters Sharon, of Grand Junction and Sandra, of Alamosa.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mathew’s Episcopal Church, 3888 27 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81506 on February 26, 2013 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mathew’s Episcopal Church, Grand Junction or the Stephanie Minor Imaging Center at the San Luis Valley Medical Center in his memory.
