ALAMOSA—Longtime Alamosa resident Juanita Kay Haile, 68, died February 11, 2013 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa.
Kay was born January 28, 1945 the daughter of Wade C. and Irma D. Pendleton Anderson. She married Robert Wayne Haile on March 12, 1981 and they enjoyed 22 years together until his death on May 3, 2003.
Kay owned and operated Valley Precast with her husband Wayne for the past 30 years and continued the business following his death. She loved spending time with her family and especially supporting her grandchildren in all their endeavors. In her spare time Kay enjoyed playing BINGO, camping, and listening to Elvis.
Kay is survived by her son Jeff Johnson of South Fork; her mother Irma D. Anderson of Alamosa; her grandchildren Samantha Jean, Justin Keith, Jennifer Kay and Stephanie Jo Johnson; and their mother Stacey Johnson of Monte Vista. She is also survived by her loyal dogs and companions Haley and Sadie.
Her father and her husband preceded her in death.
Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Rogers Family Mortuary Chapel in Alamosa.
