Anita Maria Ruybal, 76

GUADALUPE VILLAGE Guadalupe Village resident Anita Maria Ruybal, 76, passed away December 9, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family and under hospice care.

Anita was born on April 21, 1936 in El Rito, New Mexico the daughter of Diego Gonzales and Ana Maria Quintana.

Anita was united in marriage to Fred James Ruybal in La Jara; Colorado on November 9, 1963.

She was active in church activities and was a member of the Sacred Heart Society. Anita was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed teaching religion at church, cooking, singing, loved the time she spent with her family and extended family. She was a guiding mother and a care giver to her mother, mother-in-law and was devoted to her husband Fred.

Survivors include her husband Fred James Ruybal of Guadalupe, Colo.; children James (Karen) Ruybal of McKeesport, Pa.; Nancy (Kevin) Robbie of Fredrick, Colo.; Carolyn Ruybal of Center, Colo.; Tony (Kate) Ruybal of Alamosa, Colo.; George (Irma) Ruybal of Rio Rancho, NM; Theresa (Gilbert) Covarrubias of Alamosa, Colo.; Freddie P. Ruybal of Guadalupe Village, Colo.; grandchildren Jamie Ruybal, Ryan Medina, Shawn Wolstenholm, Myriah Wolstenholm, Jamilia Ruybal, Kendra Ruybal, Marina Ruybal, Michael Ruybal, Madison, Ashlyn, Kaden, Kirsten Covarrubias, Lillianna Ruybal, DeAndre Ruybal, great-grandchildren Braelyn Cisneros, Liam Cisneros, Mila Cisneros, Blake Nash and Mayleigh Duran. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents Diego Gonzales and Ana Maria Quintana, one grandchild Sencionita Angel Ruybal and several sisters.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, December14, 2012 at 10 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment will follow at the La Jara Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 1-5 p.m. at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Antonito who is in care of the arrangements.
