ELKO, Nev. ó Elko, Nevada resident, Paul A. Duran, 47, passed away October 10, 2012 at NNRH.
Paul was born on January 15th, 1965 in Del Norte, Colorado. He was the oldest son of Gilbert and Marcella Duran. †He graduated from Rock Springs High School in Wyoming in 1983. He then attended Trinidad State Junior College and received his bachelorís degree in criminal justice.
He moved to Elko, Nevada in 1990 for a career in mining; he recently worked for Franklin Lumber. He loved spending time with family, was an avid Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by two daughters, Jessica L. Duran (Pagosa Springs, Colo.) and Brittny N. Duran (Raton, NM) three sons, Stephen H. Duran (Salida, Colo.), James A. Vigil (Raton, NM) Timothy J. White (Elko, Nev.) his best friend Seven Elway Duran, mother, Marcella Duran, brother, Victor (Kim) Duran, sister, Leslie (Rich) Shelley, two nephews, four nieces, three grandchildren and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Gilbert J. Duran, grandparents, Jim and Tillie Duran, David and Adela Valdez and his uncle Joe (JoJo) Duran.
A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Tuesday October 16th at 7 p.m. at St. Francis Jerome Catholic Church, Center, Colo. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, October 17th at 10 a.m. also at St. Francis Jerome Catholic Church in Center, Colo.
