Virginia C. Tymn, 73

ALAMOSA La Jara resident Virginia C. Tymn, 73, passed away October 4, 2012.

She was born October 24, 1938 to Ralph and Mary Lucero Quintana in Alamosa.

Virginia enjoyed playing bingo and roasting chili. She loved to be with her grandchildren and taking part in their raising. Jacob, Michaela, Matthew, Samantha Levi were her biggest attributes.

She loved her coffee. Virginia always had a pot brewing for everyone. She loved to sit and visit with her friends and family. Virginia loved to be surrounded by people. She was mom and grandma to many. Alaska was her favorite place to visit and she loved to go and be with her sons David and Earl, but she hated to fly. Everyone who knew or met her automatically became family. Virginia is very much loved and will be very much missed.

Virginia is survived by her children David Reynolds of Alaska, Sonya Geiser (Danny Gallegos) of La Jara, and Evelyn Espinola (Helder) of Alamosa, her grandchildren Michaela, Matthew and Samantha Geiser of La Jara, Jacob Reynolds of Alaska and Levi Gallegos of Oklahoma City, Okla., her brothers and sisters JoAnne (Larry) Moore of Sanford, Patricia Quintana, Annabel (Larry) Vallez, Josephine Quintana all from Salinas, Calif., Betty Moreno and Robert (Megan) Quintana both from Ione, Calif., Lola Quintana, Priscilla Flores, Dolores Quintana, and Jerry Quintana all from Stockton, Calif., Richard (JoAnn) Quintana from Summerset, Calif. as well as her special friends Vicente Gallegos, Paul Gallegos, Irene Gallegos, James Atencio, Steve Wilson and Brandon Wilson.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Tymn, her parents, her son Earl Reynolds, and her sister Rebecca Quintana.

A Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa followed by a Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. also at the Mortuary. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the River of Life Church in Alamosa. Cremation will follow services.

Arrangements are in care of Rogers Family Mortuary of Alamosa.
