SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Monte Vista (Salt Lake City, Utah) resident Roberto Edward Medina, 55, passed away on May 23, 2012 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Robert was born on May 27, 1957 in Holman, New Mexico. He served as a veteran of The United States Army.
Survivors include his wife Teri Medina of Salt Lake City, Utah; son Eloy Medina of Salt Lake City, Utah; Ivoone, Orestes, Viny and Tita; mother Alice Medina of Monte Vista, Colo.; mother-in-law Matilde; brother Andy Medina of Salt Lake City, Utah; sisters Elizabeth Medina (Jeremiah Ortega) of Alamosa, Colo.; Regina (David) Lucero of Monte Vista, Colo.; Nick Medina of Monte Vista, Colo.; Robert Medina of Denver, Colo.; Ian Lucero of Monte Vista, Colo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Roberto was preceded in death by his father Juan Porfidio Medina, brother Daniel Medina, sisters Eloida Vigil and Patsy Medina.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. A Release of Roberto’s ashes will be held at Rock Creek in Monte Vista following the Memorial Mass.
