ALAMOSA – “Our ultimate goal is to be a full-service hotel consistently,” said Bruce Rahmani, PHD, owner of Colorado Hospitality Services, who purchased the Inn of the Rio Grande hotel here Friday for a reported $3,165,000.

The hotel, restaurant, bar and indoor water park was sold by First Southwest Bank out of receivership. Former long-time owner Clancy Spicer died in late December 2013.

Rahmani, owner of more than 40 hotels mostly in the Denver area, Nebraska and Wyoming, has been operating full-service hotels for more than 30 years. He also owns a pair of high-end restaurants in downtown Denver, Prime Steakhouse and La Fondue, and has a strong background in food service.
