ALAMOSA — After checking it over a third time, the Alamosa Board of Education (ABOE) voted unanimously on Monday night to change its public participation at school board meetings policy to improve transparency and encourage more parental involvement.
The policy now allows the public to bring any matter in front of the ABOE. Until the vote during their regular meeting earlier this week, public comments and questions regarding specific items on the agenda were only permitted because of a past personnel issue a decade ago.
