COSTILLA COUNTY – The most recent boil water advisory has been lifted and members of the San Acacio Domestic Water Association have been cleared to resume using tap water for all purposes, including cooking and drinking. Test results have shown that there was no contamination of the water system during an interruption in water service last weekend.
The advisory, in effect since Monday, was lifted by state officials on Thursday.
Costilla County officials have been monitoring the incidents while ensuring San Acacio residents had access to clean potable water. Costilla County Emergency Management, Public Health and Road and Bridge officials partnered to provide resources to the community. A similar break in service resulted in a boil water advisory in the same community last week.
