ALAMOSA — Police responding to a call about an injured woman found two people dead at an Alamosa apartment complex Thursday afternoon.
A resident of the apartments at 2303 Vigil Way called the Alamosa Police Department at approximately 3:20 p.m., saying that a woman had been injured and was in the office doorway bleeding. Officers and an ambulance arrived on the scene at about 3:25. Emergency medical technicians advised the officers that both of the people were dead.
The coroner was called in and police secured the scene.
A spokesman for the APD said the deaths appeared to be the result of domestic violence. He said the two were husband and wife, but they had been separated for a while. He said they died from gunshot wounds.
The spokesman said the couple’s adult children had been notified, but names of the deceased were being withheld until other relatives could be contacted.
