Farm park starts ‘Weekends on the Rio’

ALAMOSA -- Alamosa firefighters have had a busy summer so far, responding to a brush fire and a car fire within the last two days alone.

ALAMOSA--Alamosa School District signed a grant at the school board meeting on Monday that will give Ortega Middle School a security upgrade.
The grant program Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST), created by the Colorado Department of Education Division of Public School Construction Assistance, has awarded Ortega Middle School $689,436 to be used towards the improvements.

Child fatally shot at campsite

ALAMOSA -- Boating is now allowed on a limited basis in the Blanca Vista Park area of the Alamosa Ranch just east of the golf course.
