UU's hear about walking project

ALAMOSA — Jonathon Stalls spends most of his days connecting to the world around him, to people, and to his own interior by foot. He’s walked 3,030 miles across the country and he’s helped shape a national “life at 3mph” walking movement through the founding of the Walk2Connect Cooperative and his creative project, Intrinsic Paths.

With the support of many community partners like the Rio Grande Farm Park and San Luis Valley Great Outdoors, he helped launch Walk2Connect’s local San Luis Valley chapter, Caminos del Valle.

Join Alamosa’s Unitarian Universalist, Presbyterian, and Anabaptist faith communities for a joint service for “The Wisdom of Walking” on Sunday, July 22nd at 10:30 a.m. (330 San Juan Avenue) to listen and experience a story and invitation on what walking more intentionally can do for our personal, communal, spiritual, and social health and well-being. Join participants after the service for a walk to the Rio Grande Farm Park for a potluck picnic lunch. Bring a dish to share and your own place setting.

All are welcome. Call Jan at 719-480-4771 for further information.
