With Cathy Ormsby on the homemade “Canjo” and Richard Ormsby on the cigar box guitar, both made by local crafter Jeff Johnson, simple instruments were featured along with the professional ones at this year’s third annual Headwaters Music Festival in Creede. Johnson led a class Sunday morning on making the one-string “Canjo” and reportedly gave away several of the instruments to children participating in the class.
