Police seize weapons cache

...

A search warrant served by Monte Vista and Alamosa PD recovered these weapons from a home in The Deer Valley subdivision in Alamosa County. Of the guns recovered, at least two had been reported stolen, two had unregistered suppressors, and two were shotguns that had been illegally modified.

The National Firearms Act (NFA) regulates the transfer and possession of certain types of firearms and devices, including suppressors. Under the NFA, it is also illegal for a private citizen to possess a sawed-off shotgun (a shotgun with a barrel length shorter than 18 inches or an overall length shorter than 26 inches).

Monte Vista Police Department Police Chief John Rosecrans stated charges are pending.
