MONTE VISTA — On Sunday, July 15, the congregants of St. Stephen’s Episcopal of Monte Vista will join with the congregation of St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church of Creede in a joint outdoor service to be held at the picnic area of Masonic Park in South Fork.  The service, officiated by the Rev. Robert Pope, begins at 10 a.m. followed by the River Breakfast enjoyed yearly by the two congregations.  There will be no service on July 15 at the Third and Washington location of St. Stephen the Martyr Church.

In addition, on Sunday, July 29, the St. Stephen’s congregation will join with all Episcopal congregations in the San Luis Valley for a joint outdoor service to be held at Little Shepherd in the Hills Episcopal Church in Crestone.  The service begins at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a potluck lunch. Again there will be no service on that day at the Third and Washington location.
